MyDashboard takes second place

We are proud to announce that the MyDashboard WordPress plugin took second place in the recent Weblog Tools Collection plugin competition.

MyDashboard is a WordPress plugin that replaces the current WordPress dashboard with an Ajax homepage style of dashboard, in the style of iGoogle, Pageflakes and Netvibes.

We have a lot of exciting things planned for future releases of MyDashboard, so stay tuned for more details.

This post is a little bit late, as the competition winners were announced late last month (August 26th) but unfortunately things got on top of me so it never got posted.

I’ve posted it now to pass on my congratulations to the other winners (and indeed thanks to all the entrants for writing such useful plugins - a good few I am now using on this blog), but mainly to thank Mark and the judges at Weblog Tools collection for holding such a well run competition.

Congrats!! So where’s the party? heehe. I lurrrrrrve it. I used it already on my personal blog and my group blog. I just have one suggestion, i hope when you upgrade this, only the admin can edit the dashboard, i tested it using the Author role, sadly authors of my group blog can edit it.

    Anyway, congrats once more!!

hi, first of all, in case u visit my site after reading this, it wont be much help since it was only a dummy site of mine. probably will publish my site within this week.

ok, thank you very much for this wonderful plugin, i was always wanted to have a page like igoogle inside my wordpress. i download your plugin and install it right away, and by the way..currently my wordpress is on local installation for developing purposes.

ok, i stumbled with an error after activating your plugin.

    1) Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because the protocol (c) isn’t associated with any program.

    2) Link of dashboard after activation:
    c:/xampplite/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/mydashboard\mydashboard.php

    i use wordpress 2.3.

thank you very much. please tell me how can i fix this.

It may have something to do with you trying to access your website directly via the file path rather than using your web server.

Try accessing your website using http:// instead of c:/ and you should get a better result.
