Move to Wordpress 2.2 complete and more…
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
The upgrade of this blog to Wordpress 2.2 is now complete and seemed to go very well.
So far, I’ve not come across any major problems with the existing plugins that are caused directly by the upgrade, though I have found a problem relating to using symlinks to common plugin directories (if that means nothing to you, then you won’t come across the problem). This is fixed in the development versions of the plugins. If you need a copy prior to release, then let me know.
As well as the support forum installation, I have also set up a Bug and feature tracker. We will be using this system from now on to handle bug reports, feature requests and also the detail the future development of our systems. It can be found by clicking on the Tracker tab from the forum page, or by going directly to the tracker page.
We have also decided against hosting our own SVN repository, instead we will be using the SVN repository provided by Google Code as part of their project hosting tools. As soon as they are set up I shall post the details here.
Before anyone asks, I decided not to use the Google code issue tracker for a few reasons. Initially it was because I wanted to retain as much control of the tracker as possible, as it is going to become key to our development path. Also, and possibly a bit more important initially, there isn’t an RSS feed of Issues on the Google system, which is vitally important for me to keep track of new issues or updates.
More updates will be posted soon, in the meantime head over to the forum, say hello, and get those feature and plugin requests posted so that we know the direction our users want these plugins to head.
