It would be pretty cool if this could take external input via iCalendar as well. For example, I could give it URLs of Google Calendars and it could import those as well.

Great Plugin, exactly what I was searching for! Short Question about that: Do you know how to change the Date Format from english into german in the Php-File? I don´t think I can just go into the code and change December to “Dezember”. Maybe same changes inside the DATE_FORMAT?

The plugin currently uses the PHP Date function to generate month names.
I am in the process of moving to setlocale based date output (it’s a very quick job as it’s only a couple of lines to change) so I’ll post the update a bit later today.

As Jens I was searching for a pluggin like this. I currently manage a web for a friend with a rural house and have always desired to show the reservation info in the web. Your pluggin is great! I’m happy to see it! Count with me if you want to translate anything to spanish, I’ll be glad to do so.

What should I modify to start the week on monday instead of sunday?

I’m about to make version 0.3a available for download. It has a few changes to structure, etc… but more importantly has options to set the public and administration date languages (currently options are english, spanish, german and french) and also set the starting day of the week (Sunday or Monday). Thanks for the comments/suggestions - it is very helpful to know how others are using the plugin.

Uau, thank you very much for the fast response on your changes Barry. I’ve translated the english.xml file to spanish, let me know if you want it by email, but is sure it will grow soon
I could not find the way to change the start of the week to monday, sure my fault, not in the interface or in the code, but I’m no good on php.

With version 0.3a you should now have a Clearskys.net main menu in your Wordpress admin section. If you go into this menu and then the Booking Options page. Scroll right down to the bottom and you should see an option labeled “Start day:”. Setting this to Monday will begin your weeks on a Monday. You then need to change the Week label like here:

and all should be well.

Thanks for starting the translation. I’m still working on the xml file, and yes it is getting a lot bigger ;). If you want to email it to barry[at]clearskys[dot]net, I’ll be sure to include it in the next version.

Hello Barry.
I’ve just sent you the translation file, anyway forget to ask you for the bigger version. As I commented in my email I think that the uploaded version do not include the option to change the start of the week, but the language of the week days, or I could not find on the booking options menu.
